Burglary Alert

We are asking residents to remain vigilant following a recent spate of burglaries in the Trowell Road and Wollaton areas.

Please consider taking the following steps to help protect yourself from these incidents:

Keep doors and windows locked, even when you are at home or only going out for a short time.

Keep keys, wallets and other valuables out of sight and away from doors and windows.

Lock side gates and secure sheds, garages and outbuildings.

Consider using security lighting, CCTV or a video doorbell where appropriate.

Make your home look occupied if you are going away by using timer switches for lights.

Don't leave packaging for expensive items on display outside your property.

Look out for your neighbours, particularly anyone who may be elderly or vulnerable.

If you see anyone acting suspiciously, please report it.

Please continue to be alert, but don't be alarmed. By taking sensible precautions and looking out for one another, we can make our community less attractive to burglars.
